Planning for our club's future
The Committee wants to prepare a plan to help with setting the future direction of the club.
It’s really important that this plan reflects the views of our members and to help us do this we will be holding some get-togethers where we can discuss your thoughts over a cup of tea or coffee.
We thought it might be helpful to let you know the kinds of things we are interested in hearing about.
- What do you love about the club that we need to keep in mind in planning for the future?
- What, if anything, do you think needs to be changed or improved in our clubrooms?
- Are there any changes we should consider to our playing arrangements?
- What type of memberships and subscriptions should we have?
- What work around the club should members take responsibility for and should we pay people to do some things for us?
- What improvements would you like to see?
- What are the biggest challenges facing the club?
These get-togethers will be held over the following 6 weeks. We know that lots of people are away over this time of year so we have a range of dates and hope that one suits you:
1) Thursday 21 December 2 pm- 4 pm
2) Thursday 4 January – 2 pm – 4 pm
3) Tuesday 23 January 10 am – 12 noon
4) A weekend date in January tba after consulting working members
What happens after that?
We will collate all the information and thoughts we receive and draft this into a plan.
The Committee will review the draft and we will distribute the draft and have another get-together to talk it through with members in April, prior to the AGM in May next year.
