Our summer croquet season officially opened on Saturday 10 September in warm, sunny weather, when Wellington Mayor Andy Foster hit the first ball of the season.

Many of our members turned out to enjoy their first game of summer in perfect conditions, which were very welcome, though a hardy core have played throughout winter when the weather permitted.

The Mayor acknowledged the role the club played in contributing to the health and wellbeing of the community through fostering healthy exercise and social interaction.
